Most (that I come across) of the single white moms of biracial kids are exclusively interested in that other race. From a numbers pov they are dealing with a seller's market and can only hope to land one of the few 'black' guys from the overall pool. I had no trouble dating whoever I chose as the single white mother of not one, not two, not three, but FOUR biracial kids.
I am also curious about interracial dating - do you see much of that in Dallas? Dallas also seems a little more reserved than I am used to.
People didn't approach others for conversation, at the bar for example.
Then because of having mixed kids they further reduce the pool of potential future partners because of how many of the white guys don't want anything to do with a woman with mixed (especially black) kids. Oh, and I'm not a "slightly plump uneducated white girl with blonde hair who no white guys would be interested in" (as has been put out here over and over again on this stupid thread).
Kind of gives those single moms even fewer choices. About 8 years ago I married a great guy - who also happens to be white.
Just a couple questions I'm hoping to get answered and learn about the culture before this huge life change.

I am possibly being relocated to Dallas and am wondering what the city is like in terms of diversity, dating and meeting new people.
On a recent visit, I goy to look at the beautiful homes and fun "scene" in uptown but I didn't notice much cross-cultural interaction so I am curious if, in general, people hang out in racially mixed groups often?
